ABOUT US

WELCOME TO SHAWNEE HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Each day approximately 470 excited pre-K through sixth-grade students attend our school. Our faculty and staff are committed to supporting the academic, behavioral, and social needs of all students through quality instruction, secondary supports, and services designed to meet the needs of all learners.  Each and every student by virtue of attending SHES will be equipped with academic, behavioral, and social skillsets to support successful school and life outcomes. Small focus groups are provided for students who need additional time or support or enrichment. In addition, individualized instructional plans and supports assist those students who require student-specific intervention plans, programs, materials, and providers including reading specialists, school counselors, gifted facilitators, and special education staff.

Shawnee Heights Elementary provides extensive curricular programs including daily physical education and vocal music, weekly counselor and library instruction, technology integration into each classroom, 5th/6th-grade band and orchestra, and Intramurals instructional programs.
